Support Work for Children
At From the Start, we provide specialised support for children, particularly those with complex needs, neurodiversity, and behavioural challenges. Our services are designed to help children thrive in various environments, build independence, and foster positive relationships. We focus on providing both individualised support and family-centred care, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are met in a way that promotes growth and inclusion.
Our support services include
One-on-One Support for Children:
• Providing tailored, one-on-one support that is designed to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Implementing strategies for emotional regulation, behaviour management, social skills development, and academic support.
• Assisting children with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD) in navigating daily activities, routines, and transitions.
In-Home Support:
• Offering personalised support within the home to help children with behavioural challenges, complex needs, and neurodiverse conditions.
• Creating structured routines that promote independence and emotional regulation.
• Supporting parents in implementing behavioural strategies and helping children manage day-to-day tasks, from self-care to learning.
Community Access and Participation:
• Assisting children in accessing and participating in community activities, such as group play, family outings, and recreational programs.
• Helping children navigate public spaces, building social skills, and ensuring safety in unfamiliar or busy environments.
• Supporting the development of confidence in social interactions and encouraging participation in inclusive community activities.
Supporting Children with Complex Needs:
